Are you fully living your life
as who you want to be?

DO YOU WISH YOU COULD FEEL MORE CONNECTED TO YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU WANT FROM LIFE?

You can pursue a meaningful life that is true to who you are and who you want to be.

While it won't necessarily be easy, it will be easier than you might think. And it starts with listening to yourself.

WHY I CARE

Hi, I'm Katy!

When I had kids, I was thrown into a new life. I do think this happens in some way for every parent because life will never be the same (and I believe this is positive!). Yet for me, it felt like more than “just” one of life’s major transitions. It felt like I was beginning to know a new part of myself. A part that possibly wasn’t new, but rather ignored or not sought out before. Finding this part of me has made such a difference in creating balance in my life and being happy where I am, and I want this for other people too!

There are so many gems in the book Untamed, but what I love most is the idea that you can find yourself through a regular practice of listening. You don’t have to be “thrown into a new life” as I say my experience was. You can find yourself, through yourself.

This program is a weekly series to help you find yourself and connect with what’s important to you
so that you can live life more fully!

As we read the book Untamed together and practice yoga each week, you’ll be able to learn, talk about, and practice listening to yourself, plus have the support of a private community to share your experiences (if you want) and support each other’s journey.

But what really matters is this...

Through the reading, discussion, and yoga practice yoga of this series, you will learn how to listen to yourself, be present where you are, and live your life fully.

IT'S FOR YOU IF
YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO...

  • is short on time

  • likes to read/listen and learn

  • would thrive with a community for support

  • is interested in finding or discovering more about yourself

  • wants to be more present in your daily life

IT'S NOT FOR YOU IF
YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO...

  • prefers an intense yoga practice or workout

  • dislikes reading or discussing book concepts with others

  • prefers live or longer yoga sessions

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

"I signed up to make myself take time to practice yoga. I have done yoga off and on for years, but with kids I rarely make it to a class.

I really appreciate Katy's recordings because the only time I have for myself is after my kids go to bed. The variety of poses she offers in just 20 minutes is just what I need!"

COURTNEY S.

"20-minute classes really work for me. Some days I just can't get to doing a recording until 9pm, and I appreciate still being able to get a class in. During a recent class, I felt like even though it was 20 minutes, it was concentrated and a work-out for my shoulders. Also, with recordings, I have the option to do more than one 20-minute class a day -- if I can fit it in :)"

MONA S.

“I love yoga, and when I first took Katy’s class, I was reminded of how much I’ve missed it.

I definitely realized I’m a lot less flexible than before having kids,
but everything in the class was still very accessible for me and made me
feel confident that I can still do it!"

FAQs

Why books and yoga?

Because I love both, and you might too! Ha. That’s definitely true, but also, we can find benefit in pairing complementary activities/concepts together. In the case of books and yoga, I want us to be able to connect the ideas we’re reading and learning about with our intuitive yoga practice, using yoga to help deepen our learning.

Why Untamed?

The author, Glennon Doyle, explores the idea of finding yourself in this book. I love how she shares vulnerable stories from her life and what she learned as a way to encourage readers to listen to their “inner knowing” - basically learning to listen and trust yourself to find who you are and who you want to be. The reflective practice I found through this reading is a great complement to yoga, where we try to listen to our bodies and minds as much as possible. This book will make a great discussion on what we find helpful and inspiring.

How will I access the yoga classes?

Each week, you will receive a link to the week's new yoga class. During the series, you'll keep access to all of the classes, so if you choose to go back to them, you can practice again. Each week, I'll encourage you to try the class 2-3 times so you get really strong in the poses, but of course, frequency is up to you.

How will the book discussions work?

We will use a free app called Band to guide our discussions, and only those in this series will have access to the conversation. So, no need for a Facebook account to participate! Here's how the discussions in the app will work. Each week, we'll focus on a section of the book Boundaries by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. I'll share a video recap for our private group, which will be there for you to watch when convenient for you. It will be in this group that we discuss the topics of the week, and it will be a safe and supportive space to share what resonates with each of us and what we want to apply in our daily lives. We will also have two live discussions on the book, mid-series and end-of-series, which will be held on Zoom.

Do I need to buy the book?

No, you don’t need to buy the book. I would highly recommend having a copy, especially if you like to highlight portions that really resonate with you. You could also check out a copy from the library. If something comes up and you are unable to read the section we’re covering, that’s ok! I will give a recap in my boundaries sessions each week, but I know you’ll benefit the most by reading/listening yourself.
